Evening SPD Support Group

Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday, April 10th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. for our  monthly evening support group.

This support group is for all parents of sensory-challenged kids who would benefit from this opportunity to feel validated in their struggles and celebrated in their successes.  In the past we’ve also shared a lot of tips and tricks, and shared experiences with various SPD therapies and providers.

We meet in the private conference room provided by Monkey Nest on Burnet Road in the back of the coffee shop. Look for a sign with the AASPDA logo on the conference room door. All are welcome, and feel free to come and go as your schedule permits.  We hope to see you there!

Play Date at the Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock!

Join other sensational families at the Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock on Sunday, April 1st from 10 – noon. We’ll have a picnic table with an AASPDA sign. Bring blankets (there are only 2 picnic tables) and food if you’d like to picnic!

Getting there can be a little tricky. The (small) sign you are looking for is “Rabb Park” – the park itself is not visible from the road. If you are heading north on A.W. Grimes, you will turn right immediately after you pass under the train bridge, just north of Gattis Road, where there is a small sign that says “Rabb Park.” If you are going south on A.W. Grimes, coming from Highway 79, you will need to make a U-turn after going under the train bridge (the 2nd left when coming from 79) and then turn right at the Rabb Park sign. After turning at the sign, there will be an immediate fork in the road and you need to turn right. This will take you directly into the Rabb Park parking lot.

For more info, you can call Elizabeth Engle at 694-1004. Looking forward to it!
